Bravecto topical contains the same active ingredient as the chews for external application in dogs and cats. It also protects against fleas and ticks for 12 weeks. Bravecto for dogs (topical) kills fleas and controls 4 tick species: black-legged tick (deer tick), American dog tick, brown dog tick, and lone star tick (8 weeks protection only). Bravecto for cats (topical) kills fleas and controls 2 tick species: black-legged tick (deer tick) and American dog tick (8 weeks protection only).
