We had a stray show up with a tick disease already and we went through about a year of struggling to get preventative care for all 4 dogs. My service dog was found in a neighborhood in the only big city in this part of the state with the same issue. One November evening the dogs went out and when they came in my son’s yellow lab looked like he had a group of grapes on his snout and head. He went from a playful boy to RMSF in hours. My heart broke and we got the heart worm vax from the vet and ordered meds here because it’s so unaffordable anywhere else
